| Post subject: | PS3 iPlayer Quality |
Just a question - I’m watching Shooting Stars on iPlayer on my PS3, and today the picture quality is crap. I’m using a standard definition TV, and other times it’s been fine. Is this normal, or has the picture quality dropped recently? Any hints on improving it? Ta. |

Doesn't the iPlayer stream different qualities of content according to what sort of speed your connection is? Is your ISP having a slow day? |

This crossed my mind. Friday evening... everyone is home and downloading porn and mP3s, so I guess there could be some lag on the line (or slag depending on wether it’s the former or latter being downloaded). |

Yes. iPlayer changes quality (sometimes fps) according to your connection, it has little to do with the PS3. |

There was a recent update which has improved the iPlayer quality on the PS3 at my place. Is your system up to date? |
