Ok i put my opinion down here; this game is absolutley awsome. Its almost like a rally/curcuit/stree/1on1 racing game... It is honestly the best game i have been on in a while, and you kow this when you get home and think... 'I gotta go play NFS like 1 hour haha* Kinda sad i know, but i been playin at like 1 hour max because it does get boring if you play it too much. Overall i would say this game is like a racing simulator, and i would deffinatly suggest you play the DEMO if not the full version. So does anyone else ahve the need for speed fever haha Cheers Brad *EDIT; Love the amound of blur when you crash and the added colour blindness when you exchange paint * Screens

From what I've heard, it's a bit hit'n'miss. Some folks love it, others loathe it. I'm undecided and will continue to play Batman until I can get my hands on it (ie when friend finished playing it).

Forza 3 demo FTW I'll have to come up tomorrow and have a bash on Shift. Although I still don't think it'll be as win as Most Wanted was.

NFS: Underground 2 was the best NFS if you ask me. Its what it should be about.... arcade action, stupid handling, stick on bumbers and neon lights. The 'cop' series (Most Wanted and Undercover) bore me with the cop chases. I quite liked Pro Street but I think I'm the only person who did! Leave the simulation racing to Forza, GT (on PC) and Gran Turismo and stick to what you do best.

Got to agree there!! Although I preferred the original Underground tbh, yeah, there wasn't a free roam, but my GOD we (me and mates) had fun playing that!!

I liked NFS:U too. It felt like I was driving very fast. No other NFS game since then has given that feeling. It really got the adrenaline going. NFS:U2 was good in terms of improvements but I didn't feel the "need for speed" with it. NFS:MW was, IMO, fantastic - the police chases were exhilarating. Never played NFS:PS NFS:UC felt boring. The handling was all wrong. The gameplay was wrong. The police chases were boring. It was crap.

Actually, you did. The airport was usually the scene for the enclosed circuits...as well as the drift events, but I'm just splitting hairs now.

I played this on Monday round at brads. I must say, it has the worst handling physics in any game I have ever played. You turn in, and nothing happens. Need For Speed Underground 2 has much better physics, but before brad starts in a rant about how U2 is crap, Underground 2 is marketed as a arcade racer. Shift is sold as a simulation game. Simulation for me means something like Forza 2 or Gran Turismo 4 (a Game brad hadn't heard of until yesterday ), not some crappy rip-off of GRiD. The blur and bloom effects in the game are way OTT as well. So much so that you almost can't see what's going off if you drive onto a rumble strip!
