So I have recently got some money (finally got my prize for my application and in the process of selling it) I was thinking about getting one of the new slim PS3s (pref in a bundle) so I own every current gen console (and handheld ) Anyone seen any good bundles recently (under £300 although could possibly go a touch over) I already have Fallout 3, Dirt, Grid and UFC so don't need a bundle with any of them in

+1, also consider Amazon as they are often around £5-10 cheaper than most, and sometimes Game are good.

Was hoping for a bundle with more than 1 game to be honest... Is it worth getting an old school one and buying games separate? I know Killzone 2 and GT Prologue as well as Infamous are about £15 if I shop around so I could get an old one if cheaper or after a larger bundle I think Need to sell the netbook first I think

http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?lid= ... asc&page=1One bundle there includes Killzone 2 and GT Prologue... One thing to consider with the older ones is the heat output if that'll be a factor for you, the 60gb def. runs hot, don't know about the later models, and the 120gb onwards is said to improve on this with their newer chips...

I think it was Toys R Us who were selling the 120Gb slim for £229.99. I'd get that and trawl the net for games e.g.:
PS3 Slim £229.99 (Toys R Us) Res Evil 5 £17.99 (Play) Little Big Planet £17.59 (Argos) Killzone 2 £14.93 (The Hut) MGS4: Guns of The Patriots £14.93 (The Hut)
=£295.43
The games are just an example, I'm not particularily recommending them as such (although I love Res Evil 5)

Thanks for those Might wait a little while until after I sell my NC10 as I'll probably get a bundle towards xmas when a few more pop up I don't mind which one I get as it will have a shelf of it's own or be on top of my AV receiver on the TV stand or could go at the side standing up. http://www.game.co.uk/PS3/Hardware/Hard ... NFS-Shift/Might get that then Infamous after and possibly LBP

Handily, you can get the demos of the two games you mentioned from the Playstation Store

I've not checked into this too much Fin but check this hotukdeals link clicky250GB model, infamous and 2 other games for £269 at Amazon. If you check the extra tip in his write up it mentions how to get a free HDMI cable too.

Cheers Dan but Infamous is £15 if I shop around, and the games on there are the older ones of ones I want (like Killzone 1, Game/Gamestation's bundle has Killzone 2 in instead) Looks like the NC10 has sold so it's going to cost me around £35, might wait until after Xmas though or whack the money into matched betting to get it up to the £35

Why you ungrateful sob... Matched betting sounds like a plan. I'm planning on a PS3 but am thinking of hanging back to see if there are any good christmas deals, not sure I'd get to use it that much before then anyhoo.

Not a sod then ? I was only pointing it out as the bundles with Infamous are less in my eyes as I can trade in Shift (not that I would) and then for cash it covers Infamous and a bit extra. Yeah the betting has done me well past few months, basically used it as a high gain savings account. Instead of getting £1 a month interest per £100 or so I can use it to make £25-50 per £100 over a fortnight say. Only problem is of the bookies I have left there either aren't that many left or they don't have good deals right now http://www.free-easy-money.com/bookmaker-Canbet.phpWhen I get the netbook money I know where it's going (no minimum odds so I minimise the risk and if I bust out I bust out (and win at the exchange) but the odds seem good so should lose maybe £50 before I get the £200)

Aye, a lot of the bundles seem to include games that you can pick up quite cheaply at the mo so they never really turn out to be that much of a bargain. I have to look at them and then say, well, right, would I actually buy that game at that price? It's usually no. Then again I am tight.
