Anyone pre-ordered this? It's a Trek-based MMORPG. I normally object to paying a monthly subscription for a game (the main reason I refuse to play WoW or EVE), but for Star Trek I'll make an exception.

Admittedly i've not looked into it much but it doesn't look that amazing initially to me imo... I'm much more looking forward to The Old Republic... i mean it's KoTOR and Bioware... what could go wrong ?

Yeah I looked at it on steam when it flashed up a pre-order deal the other day but I'm not sure about it really.......

LOL, I'm sure HMV will do really well compared to the other retailers!
Imagine what you could do with a pet tribble as opposed to an ex borg bridge crew or shuttle craft!

Seems a bit pricey to then pay a subscription... But then again it's Star Trek right? They can demand what they want >.<
It doesn't strike me as anything special which is unfortunate, as the Starfleet has the best potential of any for some epic MMO franchise. I'm not a star trek fan but I can see an easy adaptation!

I bought Eve for £4.99. STO is £49.99 through Steam! That's a VERY expensive PC game.

Eh? Eve is nigh on £15/month to play, ST:O will be about £10/month - and it's only £25 on Amazon.

That's £153.99 + VAT. I should know, £181 just disappeared from my account and went to Cryptic.

Who’s life - yours, mine or the length of time the game can be deemed to be economically viable?
