Anyone got it?

I bought myself an old-style PS3 60GB so that I could play this game (and all of my old PS2 games, which include all the FF games released on PS2!) and...

Well.

I love it.

I love it to bits.

The graphics are awesome, the music is awesome and the combat system is simple enough to understand but not so simple that it's [LIFTED].

The acting is pretty awful, a lot of awkward silences, but the storyline makes up for it, and it's getting better as I go through the game.

I haven't played FF since FFIX, ever since they butchered the combat system by making it real-time instead of turn-based.

Well to be honest it's still pretty much turn based, just happens to have an added time element. Makes it a little more intense in my opinion, but each to their own

I've been tempted to get a PS3 for this game

I have to wait a while though as money is lacking at the moment.

The last FF game I played was FFVII and I absolutely loved it.

If/when you get a PS3 both FFVII and FFVIII (also a fantastic game) are available through the PSN for £8.

Is there an option to set it for Japanese voices for the European version of the game?

Since i'm pretty sure that's why people find the voice-acting to be bad (as in, English voice actors don't capture the feel of the scene properly ).
