I was never any good at those games, even though I loved the idea; always found the moves to be a bugger to carry out as you were getting the sh1t beat out of you...

I always recognise that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 was a very popular game, however i personally never found it to be amazing after "properly" playing it round a friend's when he got it for the PS3.

Personally i still prefer the likes of Street Fighter for my 2D beat'em up fix and am considering trying out Blazblue (from the makers of Guilty Gear) but it was only released in Europe recently (around a year in America) and there's supposed to be a semi-sequel (more along the lines of SSFIV) out this summer.
