Not played it but I'll be getting it when it makes it to PC.

Sorry, that's added about nothing to the information you had before I typed this. :D

Also not really helping, I'm waiting 'til it goes cheap, and even then I'll have to give it some thought

Yup, it'll be some time before I get it too as I'm part of the tight git group. I'll be giving it a go though, nice to have a change.

I've played it, and didn't really get on with it.

However, every single one of my friends absolutely love it - especially the online play.

I went out and bought it. Had a quick bash and it looks okay. A bit weird trying to mount and control a horse. The controls are a bit awkward, especially since I've spent the last few
months on MW2. Will give a proper review later

Well I've been playing for a few hours. Definitely a different pace of game. It's been a while since I've played an open-style game like this. I decided to go round exploring and whilst picking some herbs, got jumped on by a cougar/wildcat type thing. It's quite easy to die in this game. Horsing around on er horses is definitely a lot more fun than cars in GTA. Some things do annoy me, like having to head back to base to save etc. Managed to find a bit of treasure. Tried doing some of the missions and some are hard, especially when you're aiming withna single
pixel (or at least it feels like it). the online gameplay is a bit crap since all that happens is that I keep getting shot by law enforcement from awkward places.

You don't technically have to, as it autosaves after each mission or event, but I do just to be on the safe side...

I know but since I'm still new to the game; I'm doing a lot of exploring around, which means trekking far out from base. Hence the annoyance At havin to RTB.

Does anyone know if you can upgrade horses like with cars in GTA ie get a better horse?

Yeah, do the "breaking in" jobs at the livery yards...sometimes you get a new horse.

I like the sound of this game. Will be seeking it out in the used bucket at HMV or Game. I am too cheap to buy new games these days.
