I only ask cos the reviews are average at best (the sort they gave to Spidey 3, before giving it a real kicking later when the ever-present studio threat to stop access had dissipated somewhat), and I was looking forward to it :(

I know it was somewhat rushed too

Saw it on Saturday, thumbs up from me. Took someone who hadn't seen the first one, isn't much of an action movie fan, and she found it funny. She's asked to borrow the DVD of the first one, in fact, and told me she'd been waking up with worrying dreams of what was going to happen to Tony Stark.

I didn't even realise it had come out... must check out the screening times at some stage. And try and get a babysitter

Watched the first one again at the weekend in anticipation of the watching the second but though it would be a bit busy to go down to the cinema as it’s only just come out and beings it was a bank holiday weekend (and not forgetting the shocking weather).

So no is the answer, not yet.

Oh and if you go stay intil the very end of the credits.......

I'm off to see it this evening.
Will report back later.

<Edit> Later

I thought it was quite good. A bit more crowded in terms of stuff going on than the first one.
If you do go to see it there is a little bit at the end after the credits. I presume they are setting up for Iron Man 3

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Nope, a different film. Which then leads into another film, which'll lead into an ensemble piece. Should be fun.

I'm so hoping those other films work out for the benefit of the ensemble piece - just to see if they can pull it off :geek:

The classification on the BBFC web site and the adverts states:

Quote:
Consumer Advice: Contains moderate violence and bleeped strong language

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/website/Classifie ... enDocument

Did anyone get any bleeped language? It seems odd that they would bleep the soundtrack to me.

The bleeped language is from one scene where you are viewing a news article on TV within the film.

So nothing that affects the flow of dialogue in the film itself. It’s used in a context where you would expect that kind of audio treatment?

Exactly. If it wasn't for the bleeps I would probably have not noticed the lack of swearing throughout the rest of the movie. Unless I wasn't paying attention and there was other swearing. :?

The film felt rushed and Gwyneth Paltrow CAN NOT ACT, but its humour made up for the poor pacing. Funny with impressive (though fairly standard) effects (apart from a dodgy 90s CGI car race). Awesome fight scene involving a laser or two.

Not seen it yet although I have heard there's a few too many characters in this one and a certain director giving himself way too much screen time.
