It’s not every day that the Royal Mint sends out free stuff - but today I received a Dr Who medallion for free. I didn’t ask for it, and I’m not a coin collector (well, I am - but I tend to use them to buy cake). None of the paperwork that came with it was asking for money - the despatch note says the cost is £0.00. So I have this shiny coin with David Tannant on one site and a TARDIS on the other.

Now, you see, I have bought stuff from the Royal Mint, and I'm on their mailing list.

I've not seen anything by way of freebies of the Whovian nature. Most times they want me to fork over vast chunks of wonga for some tat commemorating some battle or other.

Yeah - the one I have is the £9.99 one. This is the best I can do with the iPhone.
