I thought Moriarty was stuck in a virtual universe capsule floating around in deep space somewhere?

Watched episode three last night and thought the ending was a bit of a let down imo.

Definitely. Extremely contrived and obviously so.

Someone's almost certainly mentioned it, but I read last night the BBC have gone for a second series...

I finished watching part two. If they'd have just gotten to the circus bit a lot quicker the show wouldn't have seemed so dull :(

I'll try and get watching the series finale tonight :)

Dull?! Out of all the comments I've seen about Sherlock I think you're the first to describe it as dull. :) It's frantic and packed with incident but not dull. We'll have to see what you think of the third one then ;)

Sorry, I meant the 'padding' in that ep was dull, so much of it seemed like they were trying to fill the hour and a half with all the talk of symbols and numbers that it detracted from the show overall. I thought the first was great for a new series these days ;)

Did you see the Sherlock Holmes film earlier this year? What did you think of that?

My mate insisted on talking through what I saw of it, but I intend to give it a proper go after I see the third ep here...

Right, watched the third ep, definitely better than the second.

Didn't have any problems with Moriarty really, though the soft Irish accent (the actor's Irish) wasn't helping him when he had to shout and be all OTT

I'm of the opinion that the show could probably be trimmed down a bit - normally I'm not in favour of that but there you go. It often feels like, 'We've got a mini-series!... Oh, sh1t, we've got to fill three 90 minute slots!'

Mind you, that retarded clock in iPlayer (that the BBC have said they'll remove in the next update, they'd fcuking better) isn't helping to be fair.

DVD and BR releases at the end of the month, complete with unaired pilot (link's also very informative on the series):
