I've never had any real problems with Skype, it just works. iChat seems to suffer with NAT and perimeter firewall problems, but Skype generally doesn't have any issues.

I've been using it for the best part of a decade to video chat with friends and family around the world. Video quality is down to the camera and bandwidtch. With the 720p webcams at work, the quality is excellent, using the VGA camera in my company Toshiba laptop is poor, the Sony Vaio is somewhere in the middle.

Like Dave I have used Skype for chatting to people here and abroad. Very nice, it does tie you to a spot even with a laptop. Facetalk looks like a more portable version. Though with the Skype app now being able to run in the background I can see that being used more.

Well some one has already decided FaceTime is good.

Steve will not be happy

Quite frankly I could see this happening from day one. The fact that they have got all moral will not help them. Unless they are planning to include software that blocks excessive skin tones. They will just have to accept it. Though the girls are being provided with free phones and this will be the start of many similar services.
