I saw Bill Bailey live, he was fantastic. I liked the Concert Orchestra thing he did the other day on BBC2 as well come to think of it.
Best stand up though, Bill Hicks.

I thought Rich Hall was quite funny on Live at the Apollo too.

I had to vote for Mitch Benn from the list as currently I am in the mood for clever comic songs. By this afternoon it could well be Emo Phillips or even Jasper Carrot (the early years). I'm a total butterfly when it comes to comedy, which is odd because for everything else I have very definate opinions.

What - no Chubby Brown? OK then, Bill Hicks.

I voted for Mr. Izzard but I guess I could just as easily have put Other.
Bill Bailey is fantastic, especially live. He does recycle material though but it's still funny. Eddie Izzard live is a riot. One of my mates managed to get tickets to an experimental show he did in London either last year or 2007. We were sat in the second row, could practically touch him. Couldn't do it due to laughing so much. As it was a fan gig everyone was joining in when they recognised a bit (Blasphemy, Blas for you, Blas for everybody).
I've seen Russell Howard live twice and the last time I just about died laughing. Does a fair amount of stuff based on the audience.
Frankie Boyle is funny but when I saw him live it was pretty much all stuff he'd done on Mock the Week plus stuff that was unbroadcastable (should that have hyphens in it? is it even a proper word?).
Billy Connelly is hilarious, especially his earlier stuff. Plus any time he was on Parkinson I got the impression he was trying to kill Parky.
Dara O'Brian is brilliant. Would love to see him live. Again, plays a lot based on the front few rows of the audience.
Peter Kay only has one show. It's all the same stuff. Still funny but a bit overrated.
A bit of Jasper Carrot isn't too bad either.
