As a kid, I found the prospect of DangerMouse cool - the character, the car etc. But I found the plot boring. Maybe it was too much dialogue and not enough action?

Me too. Although I've never analysed it. I always found Batfink a bit random too.

Batfink was a bit more awesome (more vibrant colours, more action). Does anyone remember Mighty Mouse? Made a comeback in the late 80s/early 90s?

Of course, although I wish Penfold had been skinned and his pelt used as a rug.

My wings are like a shield of steel....

It's only watching older cartoons today that you realise how much of it was actually for adults - I remember DM episodes with blatant/veiled references to Hitler and the war that I didn't actually understand then ('Greenback makes Hitler look like a first-time homeowner')

Even Masters... had seem highly unnecessary shots of it's female characters, and Skeletor randomly asking the Sorceress if 'she'd ever consider an act of evil?'

I think it is as small as a pencil diameter. Though I would buy/borrow a cat as backup.

I remember watching cartoons as a kid and it being all rather innocent. Then I watched some episodes of cartoons like Thundercats and seeing the innuendo. Or for some, the ridicukous premise. Bravestarr had a horse that turned into some kind of upright walking animal. Thundercats had a sword that got longer and longer by swinging it about. Heathcliff has a pimp with his ho.
