Brilliant! I'd not seen that one. I also didnt realise you could block people without them knowing. That's an option I'm going to have to look into. Not that I should feel bad by defriending these people but somehow I always do. As for Twitter I have a love/hate relationship with it. I quite like to post my odd daily musings on there or see what others are up to but find more recently it's becomming a chat room making reading tweets annoying/difficult (I always though this went against what twitter was originally for?) or in the case of Kevin Smith a lengthy blog broken down into 50 tweets!

I'm going to submit it as an article. Sorry for the duplication.

Twitter is what people make of it. If that's a chatroom, then so be it. *shrug* Mark

Yeah I'm not saying people shouldn't. I certainly dont make the rules. I just find it annoying sometimes when I have pages and pages to flick ( mainly use phone to access Twitter) through of conversations I'm not involved in to see other's actual tweets. Apart from that I quite like it and certainly am using it more this time around. This is what I mean't really when I said what I though Twitter was orignally for.

That's all a conversation is, small bursts of info from one person to another. (8+) In all fairness, I was involved in a four or five way conversation last night on Twitter. In fact I'm probably one of the main culprits (among my mates) for using Twitter as a conversation medium. Mark

And you're the only one who has hidden tweets (8-p) I think the fact it's so public is part of the reason for me not really chatting on it so much. And the fact that conversations back and forth fill up my timeline (although that's at least partially down to how most viewers display tweets).

So hide your tweets and get on it more. Last night was both insightful (for me) as well as fun. (8+) Mark

I'm glad I don't use FB anymore. The account is still there somewhere and I have a huge list of friends wanting to add me (all legitimate) but I can no longer be arsed with it. One day, I'll probably delete the account.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I was reading this thread but didn't want to say it because somebody would have surely called me a troll. But I guess you can get away with it

In fairness, I don't really think it's about being 'cool', I think it's more than likely avoiding the time-sink affect that FB can have.

This place is just as bad though. At least it is for me. Difference being, I enjoy this more and sometimes learn things.
