Could we make it so that the "In the News" forum subscribes to certain blogs and when a new post is published on the blog a new thread is created in the forum?
I was thinking it would be a chance for some members to get more coverage of their blogs and get thoughts about the post. But also to subscribe to other blogs and RSS feeds such as Firefox, BBC, etc. Not sure if it would be allowed to auto-link to a news site like that, but as long as we didn't pull down the content, only the first few lines and a link, I'm sure that'd be OK...

I like the sound of that but have no idea how to program it. I'll run it pas a developer I know to see if it's possible.

Someone had a look but the forum needs a phpbb update, however the current theme/template doesn't work with the update & results in the forum dying and having to be restored from backup. I'm having to look into redesigning the entire forum theme from scratch to do this. I'm also looking in to potentially running it as a content aggregator from the main site which would acheive the same result whilst potentrially driving more traffic here as well (which is looking easier) It's still on my list of things to do.
