Ok, thanks. I might just start Season 1 and see if it all makes sense. If it doesn't, I'll get the mini series.

You'll find that the first couple of episodes depend on a few things from the mini series but after that it'll get a lot easier.

Right, I'm going to see if I can get the mini-series today and start there. I do think this should have been included on the Season 1 DVD though.

Excuse me but what miniseries?
Am I missing something?
The only reference to a miniseries that I have seen refers to the two feature length episodes prior to the episode entitled "33". Is this what you mean?

That's it, according to Wiki - don't go there if you're trying to avoid details!

The series is a great slow burner. Each episode (or small block of episodes) carries a story. The Big Picture is revealed throughout each season. There is excellent attention to detail - as well as continuity. A character gets injured in one episode, the wounds are carried on over the subsequent ones. No “quick fixes” of Star Trek here.
Look out for Serenity in the first ep of the mini series.

If I were you I'd watch the mini-series two or three times.
There's a whole lot in there that you'll miss first time round.

I've watched the so-called mini-series and the first five episodes of Series 1 and so far so good. Really enjoying it and great to see Richard Hatch turn up as a terrorist leader.

I was just browsing Play.com, coz I'm thinking about buying the Blu Ray BSG Box Set. Reading through the reviews page, someone made a reference to "The Face of the Enemy" being missing from the set. A quick google turned up the following: http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/The_Face_of_the_EnemyI didn't know this existed.

Never heard of those ones. I know there are some webisodes (?!?) on the series set but I can't remember those ones. Still have the disc from the cylons POV to watch yet. Only been putting it off because I know it'll make me want to watch the whole series again.

Can somone confirm the contents of the full box set, coz I'm hearing it ain't exactly full.
It includes the first miniseries, I'd imagine.
Does it include "Razor" and "The Plan"?
Cheers?
