Well that's no good. I'd want to watch 48fps at 1080.

Same here. Though maybe it will be worth waiting to see what technology wins out. I prefer faster refresh rates over 3D any day.

I have 1 video (Japanese raw HD rip) which is in 1080p at 60fps. It looks fantastic for a few seconds, until my PC conks out because it can't handle it :lol:

I hate interlacing and I've often commented that 24fps is well below the standard I'd expect in this day and age. As hinted in the article, 24fps is a legacy from about a century ago when the technology was powered by clockwork!

If they want me to spend my cash at the cinema, then this is a step in the right direction.

As to TV conversion, I have only one thing to say: Death to pull-down!
