Guys, I appreciate the offers but I won't be asking for money anytime in the near future.

The shop is purely for advertising purposes (& I want an x404 t-shirt etc), the actual profit margins are tiny but it'll all be put back in to the site after my GT-R arrives (as if thats going to happen ).

Everything currently pays for itself, it just reduces the profit I make from my webhosting services but that's not an issue at the moment.

Just a note to say that I'd quite like to see a few forumites doing semi-regular columns - we have some fair talent around, I have to say - having read other's work, I'm very impressed...

...but then I wouldn't expect anything less of x404 users!

If we could get a fanbase of people up and running, it could lead to us becoming a well-regarded tech site. And once that happens, you have more options in requesting stuff for review etc... If that's the direction that everyone wants to go in a few years down the line, of course.

I just feel that we're sitting on a potentially brilliant, thriving site - it's quite unusual to have so many really educated and intelligent people all suddenly pop up on the one server, who are so dedicated to the site. If we nurture that, this place could become the next Wired or Register.

If that's what people want, as I say.

Alas no Me and the purple one tried to chemically straighten my hair (apparently I look like an 80's rock star when it's proper straight), it knocked the curls out, and I ended up with just frizz Clicky

Back on topic sas, if I do another article, or maybe a few, could that be used as a pool, which would then trickle out on a (bi-)weekly basis?
