15 hours wouldn't even last a flight to Oz, so you're pretty much stuffed if you fly BA, Qantas or Virgin, who don't provide power at seats last time I looked.

If you've booked on Quantas, you should more be asking if there are power points in the airport departure lounge..

I've flown to Oz with BA, Virgin and Qantas in the last seven years, never again. I've flown several times with Singapore and they thrash the others on at least two of cost, service or entertainment.

I was surprised to hear about Qantas grounding flights on their own decision. I expect the government will be forced to step in rather urgently.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Ordered that to go with the Kindle I'll be picking up in Tesco over the next few days  :D

The cover's more to prevent anything coming into contact with the Kindle whilst in my backpack, and I do like the design

The Kindle's awesome, especially like the two week trials of various newspapers etc :D

You'll probably be left thinking, 'Why the hell didn't I buy this sooner?!' if you eventually get one :)

I had a fiddle with one today for a couple of minutes. Hopefully there was something wrong with that unit as it didn't seem useable whatsoever. :?

Stupidly long pauses between button push and reaction. So much so that it appeared to be doing things on its own initiative.

I'll give a different unit a second chance. There are books I want to read that I'm not buying as I think an e-reader is the next step for me. Had it worked well I may have bought one on the spot.

Happens to mine occasionally - very occasionally mind. Probably twice in just under a year but was told it was to do with a prog running in the background.

That would make sense, bearing in mind that it was a display model in a busy shop. Probably had loads of kids with sticky fingers mashing the buttons before I got to it.

Next Kindle Fire to rock 8.9-inch screen?

Hmm, if true that would take a little of the shine off for me, and you know the 10" one would be just around the corner... madam. I really don't buy the sort of next to no difference dimensions being suggested there though.
