Posted this here as I could do with an early response.

Want to get the gf's dad an IR extender as he currently has to open a cabinet door to operate the tv and dvd boxes. Also need to get something by xmas, which means by the 23rd here. As I need to place an order asap I'm hoping someone here can say yay or nay to the following. If I have to get something completely different then so be it, but I would rather not buy a lemon.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
