That could by deadly - by which I mean, 'I won't be coming in today, I appear to be having a heart attack'

Since you can only consume 2.5Watts from a USB port without destroying your laptop, I can't understand how this could possibly heat up anything bigger than a single bean :|

It all seems to hinge on this:

'Heinz claims that snacks can be warmed in under a minute thanks to intense heating action from a combination of cell phone and radio frequencies'

But I don't pretend to understand it ;)

EDIT - Yes, my initial thought was 'hoax' too, but I can't really figure out why they'd bother since it isn't April :?

It would be awesome if it did work but I'm thinking hoax too.

Microwave ovens use so much energy because they need to to generate all those microwaves!

It looks like one of those USB cup warmers rather than a microwave.

Is it just me, I find microwaves rather fascinating, heating your food by exciting molecules in the food.

You cannay change the laws of thermodynamics, Ernie.

Maybe it just titillates the bean so it gets all hot through sexual empathy.
