Ordinarily, I love BTTF. One of my fave films of all time. But today I was in a pissed off mood and so when I watched it, I was very critical.

Why did Biff suddenly turn into a giant p***y? What happened in between that event and the "present"?

Why don't Marty's parents now remember a kid called Marty from high school who looked exactly like their son? It was the first time George stands up for himself, Lorraine was gonna get raped, their first kiss and dance. Now of all the memorable times in your life, this has got to be one of them. So why do they not remember a strange kid called "Calvin Klein" whom
Marty resembles?

How much music can you hear down the phone? Most of the time, when someone plays music down the phone, at the most, I can hear the drum beat.

Why doesn't the Doc die when electrocuted by lightning?

Why doesn't Marty go further back in time to warn Doc? Why not change things? If someone had said I was gonna get killed at a specific time and place in the future, why could I not change this?

When Marty wakes up in the altered timeline "present", should he not remember everything that happened until then? Does he go his entire life with a huge chunk of it missing? WTF?

And finally (for now), why the fudge do you employ someone who tried to rape your wife to detail your car?

Why?

It is Hollywood. You don't need to know anything else about it.

Yeah... why didn't they stick to the real laws of time travel?

The film. BTTF works if you take into account the notion of multiple universes. For every decision that you make, a universe is created to act out each one. BTTF2 explains this pretty well, and shows that 1955 is some kind of nexus point where all events seem to pivot on.

Marty’s life and perception of it is not changed. He goes from his original life > 1955 > new life. He does not automagically *become* the Marty of the alternative world he lives in. His reaction shows that he’s not lived that life. However, kit’s obvious that for one reason or another, the Marty from that timeline has also vanished. It’s likely that in all universes, Marty has to travel back to the 1955 nexus point.

As a big, big punishment. You can also keep your eyes on them.
