That what ever the satellite link between the rig and shore is. I tried downloading a file in the evening yesterday and I got two hundred and odd bytes a second download speed. That's right bytes, not kilobytes.

Are you sure about your home? Most houses have a cabinet somewhere much closer than the exchange.
To be honest, I'm not sure about my home, but I'm about three miles away from the cabinet/exchange and the only house in at least a mile radius, so I can't see them doing much as it would be for me and me only!
