The warn white ones are much better. They're not as yellow as halogen, in fact I'd say they're much more like daylight in colour. If it weren't for the high price I'd have repleced all nine bulbs in my kitchen.

Got the Homebase one by the way, highly recommended, 31w actually lights up my small room so I'd be confident in a 50w equiv. for somewhere bigger

I've got some LED GU10s from B&Q. The light colour is fine, as is the light arc, but the light output is noticeably less than even the 35W halogen that I have been using.
In the kitchen I have two four-bulb fittings. I have put the LEDs pointing toward a couple of areas that are not working areas and left the halogens directed at the table and work surfaces.
Over time, as I get used to the reduced light, I might be able to tolerate LEDs, but I don't think that these particular GU10s are bright enough for working areas.

I found the LED bulbs with lots of small LED's to put out a lot less light than the bulbs with one large LED.

I've seen a few LED bulbs with bayonet fittings. I need bulbs that are equivalent to at least 60W (cannot accept anything less than this) and another at 100W. Recommendations?

Maybe this for the 60w at least, they all look suspiciously similar despite the branding http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lighting-EVER-I ... 705&sr=1-3
