Would those be the CD and DVD sales that we're told are very poor already? I suspect hampering online spending won't do the economy much good overall you know - are people suddenly gonna start shopping at HMV again, for instance?

I haven't bought physical media in terms of music for years. For games eg PS3, I still need physical media and certainly this reduces the things I'm likely to buy. Having said that, MW3 was an Asda purchase (7am instead of midnight).

For me, it's other things that I may buy on a whim that will suffer. Something that costs under £10 that suddenly costs £12 or so may mean I'll reconsider.
