That's because they have to share with Windows, but have tried to develop their own ideas instead. You end up with a set of hybrid look and commands that don't really fit with either. I put up with it, though the bug that prevents InDesign from hiding occasionally is a nuisance. In what sense do they suck? Their hardware? The OS? Compared with what? Other PC vendor's hardware? The Windows OS? Another OS?
