TOP 10 reasons why Breaking Bad is probably the best thing on TV

1. It is amazing right from the first 2 minutes of the 1st episode and doesn't let up for one second (with the exception of perhaps one episode in series 2 about a fly). Compare this to The Wire or even Forbrydelsen where you can grow a beard before getting into it.
2. Girls will like it as much as boys - and not just because of Jesse. Strongly written female parts and a non-macho feel to a very macho storyline means both Mr & Mrs love it.
3. Saul Goodman is one of the best characters ever to appear on television. FACT.
4. With the possible exception of Gus Fring. Most chilling bad guy since Hannibal Lecter.
5. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING will stop your heart as much as the Season 3 finale. "RUN".
6. Apart from "that" bit at the end of Season 4. When you see it, you will scream out loud. If you've seen it, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
7. It makes meth look [LIFTED] delicious. But it obviously isn't, OK kids?
8. First actor with a disability where the disability is never referenced, let alone used as a naff plot line.
9. You'll never ring a hotel lobby bell in the same way again.
10. "Our son doesn't know who Boz Scaggs is. We have failed as parents."

I'm assuming this is some US import televisual entertainment, since I recognise precisely zero of any of the names mentioned.

And it's probably on a Sky package, so therefore is of zero interest to me anyway. ;)

You can watch it on Netflix. Give it a go Heather you might be pleasantly surprised or it might not be your thing. Very very black humour.

But I'd have to pay extra for it. I've paid for my TV viewing already this year. :P

yeah that fly episode I thought was a spoof practical joke for a few minutes, last-minute "we need a filler episode" writers' emergency meeting IMO.

Not sure how much of season 2 I've seen. I googled the show today and series 3 not been picked up in UK yet. How rubbish is that!

You can get the episodes in HD the day after they're aired in the US if you don't restrict yourself to legal behaviour, I've heard.
