It is the only Sandman I know. It has been a staple of children's TV, here in Germany, for decades. He appears when the children's programming comes to an end and ushers them to bed. It is really cute.

It started in the DDR, the BRD tried to imitate it, but after the Wall came down, the Sandmann conquered the west German equivalent and is still around today.
