Why do people see shapes in clouds? The same reason they see UFOs in videos, Ghosts in basements and giant snakes in photos of a rainforest.

If I suspected a snake, I'd take time-lapsed images (or even live video) to show that the bloody thing moved like a snake. Could easily fire a non-lethal projectile at it to see if it moved.

A good plan, logistically a problem because the Amazon's a huge place, and there lots of other beasties out there.
That picture was also take from a plane, and remember snakes aren't always conveniently moving.

I can’t see it - even with the annotations on the picture. It just looks too indistinctly blurry to be of any use.
