This weekend, Münster to London, preferably Heathrow... The best I could get was Air Berlin to Stanstead, which is what I went with in the end. Grrr! Just re-checked Ryan Air, best price has dropped from €400 to €120...

well I just suggested easyjet as my dad uses them for their low prices in his experiance, and its certainly not a joke about them being amatuer pilots, thats the only "catch" with going with easyjet as you will get a really HARD landing as my dad did on all occasions hes been with them I personally woudnt mind but depends if you are bothered about having trainee? pilots flying you

Sorry Dave. I organise a LOT of travel as part of my job and have quite a lot of resources available. I highly reccomend http://www.skyscanner.net/ which searches a lot of the airlines as well as online deal places (ebookers/terminala etc). Also worth checking http://www.whichbudget.com which quite often comes up with routes/options you wouldn't normally think of. It also pays (when you can) to look for flights on a Wednesday which is when a lot of the airlines release their cheap seats, and, if your're travelling at short notice, some airlines offer cheaper flights if you are able to include an overnight stay on a Saturday. I appreciate that planning ahead isn't really an option for you at the moment and I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you before you booked.

Thanks anyway Zippy. I'll store those links away for next time.

Train? You don’t have to fly. Surely a combination of the Thalys and Eurostar will get you here, possibly cheaper?

Hmm, hadn't thought about that. Might bear it in mind for next time.
When I came over in Feb with my girlfriend, it was cheaper to drive - once you'd taken into account a hire car or trains/coaches for 2...

I have had some excellent prices from Eurostar in the past. A return for £35 from London to Paris each way was pretty good. I got a return fare for £4 once. That’s almost the bus fair from where I Live to the middle of town! The Eurostar web site lets you book ahead, and the cheap tickets are sometimes available at short notice because they want to run a full train. Now that High Speed 1 has been opened, it should be less than 3 hours from Brussels to London. You’ll end up in the newly refurbished St Pancras. Now you’ve got me wanting to travel on it again. Curse you! Maybe a trip on the Autumn half term holiday is called for.

Last Ryanair flight return for me, Stanstead to Freidrichshafen, £35 inc taxes + £9 for the return ticket from Manchester to London.
