Thing is, she knows that she doesn't know, and she's too proud to say "I don't now - but it's the word everyone has told me to use"
There's the problem - words are being used with little or no understanding of their real meaning; they have become little more than terms of abuse used by stupid people.
Anyway - good. Her ignorance has been exposed on national TV, and thanks to the Internet, we all know that that person knows nothing. Chances are, the baying crowd behind her would have had an equally hard time giving an answer. Good on the reporter for calling her out on it. It's about time we see this happen.
