Posted this on Fb earlier and as soon as I have a bit of time, I think I'm gonna do this.
I use DropBox quite a bit for sharing images between my phone, Mac and iPad (mainly for the iPad as it doesn't support AirDrop) and a 50GB storage option will easily be adequate for my needs.

Mark

Sounds good. I use DropBox a lot on my iPad - most of the art working apps I have access DB built in, so I can lob PSD versions of images onto my Mac. I’m not sure Box would be supported in that way, but I’ll certainly give this a look over.

Box seem to be in the UK - are they a British company and does anyone know where the data is actually stored (i.e.e do they actually use Amazon like dropbox..)?

I signed up - just to see if they use email authentication. And they do.

If you want to DropBox folder sync on your desktop (like DropBox), you have to start paying.

So the NSA has access then! If their servers are in the US then the NSA has automatic access if it requests it. This will not be helpful to them in the long run.

Um. I just downloaded the 'box sync' mac os app after logging in via the web and that seems to be pretty much the same as the dropbox app does. No sign of it asking me for money.
