The BFI is releasing Kubrik's 2001 in cinemas. More about this here:

I have booked my ticket at the BFI cinema, South Bank Centre. However, many cinemas around the country are carrying this. This is one of those films that I really want to see to the cinema, so I'm glad I'm going.

This is one of those films that makes me glad I have the home cinema setup. And the popcorn machine to go with it!

Yup - and I've watched it many times, but I want to see it BIG. It's a film that needs to be seen in all its monolithic glory.

The 30th of November at the QFT in Belfast.
I'm actually off-shift then so I may get to see it, though at this point I'd be very surprised if it's not sold out.

The screen on our setup is... actually, I can't remember exactly, but it's well over 100"

Enjoy the film, and make sure your pockets are big enough to smuggle some munchies in! ;)

And I'm back. It was bloody spectacular - clearly obvious that it was designed for a big screen, but it really needs to be experienced big. It was almost like seeing it new - helped by this being a restoration.

Another bonus - no adverts, no trailers. Straight into the film. Marvelous.
