I've had what I assume to be online card fraud a few times since I rarely use cards in shops - the usual mobile phone top-ups, though one was making purchases globally... I suspect though that it's likely to be some scummy employee at a company making the most of unencrypted numbers. And since an MFI kitchen was once bought with a card rarely used and never online, I suspect said scumbag usually belongs to the finance sector.

Some idiot used my dad's credit card to book a BA flight.
I say idiot as he also used my dad's email address when booking.
My dad checked his emails, called his bank and BA, and the police were waiting at the gate to arrest the bloke.
He booked at 2am for an 8am flight. My dad checked his email at 6am.
