So... when I went to Cornwall on holiday, I didn't actually go on holiday at all,as I drove. I just went? Why do I find the fact that someone called Sharks is going on a diving holiday amusing?

I read that as "driving holiday" ... and found the image amusing. It reminded me of a dalek strapped to the roof of a car; but that's probably just me.

I'm not going anywhere when I'm off next week, but that means I'm not going to work either

Just got back from Devon. Had a really nice time. Also now slightly obsessed with kite flying.

Woooo! What kite have you got? I've got a little 4m one. Would love something bigger. I've had a go on a mates 14m and it's an absolute monster!

Well its nothing impressive. Its the first kite I've had since i was about 6! Its only about 1.5m I think but It was great to fly on the windy beach, swooping down right to the floor before pulling up and looping, etc. It's made me want something much better now! The missus was even impressed towards the end of the holiday with my 'low level' flying

Ah I see. It's not a power kite then? I've never flown the speed/trick type kites.

I haven't had a holiday for two or more years now. And I'm a student! Oh well! Think I may go on a few during the next twelve months, and then get away somewhere before returning to uni in Sept. 2010. Going to Paris next May, anyhoo. (Not made the same mistake as last year!)

I'm hoping (finances dependant of course) to go and visit my uncle in Switzerland for a bit of skiing in the winter. I couldn't afford it this year, but hopefully if I'm sensible I will be able to make it next winter.
