This forum still throws MySQL errors when posting replies - I was posting quotes from a Wired article today, and somewhere in there was hiding a character that was failing encoding and causing an error. I only managed to find it by copying my reply into a text editor and looking for anything odd. It was a character that in all intents and purposes should have been a space. Can this be fixed if possible?

It's because something deep down in the database isn't unicode/UTF8 safe and is crapping out. Go outside the lower ASCII range and you get errors.
