Standard Issue is a website that came from an idea comedian Sarah Millican had. She was standing looking at women's magazines one day and wasn't pleased that they tended to be about gossip, clothes and makeup (I just realised what a weird word that is in every way). So with the help of some friends she's created Standard Issue, a website with great female writers touching on just about everything but the above

Apart from being a really funny and informative collection of articles, I think it's a fantastic antidote to the twisted agenda of the mainstream media when it comes to women. There's also podcasts which I'm about to start... Give the site a go!
