Not sure how many people still visit here now, but I saw this on the Twitter profile of one of our members, Jonathan White (@jonbwfc)… Just thought I would post it here, some of you may already know if you’re following him on Twitter. R.I.P Jon.

Indeed, I was quite shocked to read it, I had missed it as his family only added the message to the Twitter profile biog, so it didn’t appear in my timeline. I knew Jon had been through treatment for cancer earlier in the year but had no reason to suspect it hadn’t been a success. Jon always came across as an intelligent, likeable guy - even if his viewpoint differed to others, his arguments were always reasoned and balanced. I never met him in person, but wish I had.
You forget this little community of ours dates back over 20 years in some cases, people are getting older and, although we’ve mostly all moved on from here, those links still exist and affect us when they’re no longer there.
