I started to suffer from anxiety (fairly mild) and would get hot flashes seemingly for no reason at all. I dont worry about my job, money, life, etc but have suffered a few illnesses recently. Maybe I'm subconciously thinking its worse than it actually is. After having a chat with the Doctor there's an online CBT course you can do (Cognitive Behavoural Therapy) just to try and rewire the brain a little bit!

Depends on underlying problems.

Are you normally someone who messes up and therefore is anxious not to ball things up?
Are you really anxious or is this depression?

I've found Rescue Remedy to be of great benefit when anxiety sets upon me, usually around exam times.

Rescue Remedy +1

I’m a fairly anxious person - my parents are both jangly, especially my mother. I get a mix of the two. I tend to do the following:

• If I am planning something, or trying something new I *have* to see in my mind what is going to happen and how it should work.
• When things are just about ready to go, my natural pessimism kicks in, and at this point I get anxious.

So, I understand anxiety, especially for something which is a one off special event. Things will go well - even if it does not go exactly according to plan, your parents will love it, and it will mean a lot to them that you did it.

Try to relax (I know, easier said than down), and get some Rescue Remedy. Boots stock it.

I think leeds_manc got it spot on. I got anxious because I wasn't sleeping well, which was caused by poor food and a poor lifestyle.

I have improved my food and got myself a bit more active in the last couple of days and feel so much better. I had a full 12 hour sleep last night and don't feel anxious whatsoever!

Peter.
