Yeah, but you're weird! Look at you're selection of stuff you haven't seen. Presumably you're mates are into movies. I'm talking about your average-man-in-the-street i.e. somebody who will go to see Transformers for something to do, but isn't really a movie "fan". These people make up the majority of cinema audiences and I'm convinced they wouldn't know Get Carter if it slapped them in the face, but maybe I'm wrong.

No no, some of them are beer swigging, drug taking neanderthals. It's the ones like me who are actually less likely to have seen it IME - I'm telling you, more people have seen Carter than you think ;)

That's just because it's old, not because it wasn't mainstream.

*Looks at the local multiplex listing*

For example, The Proposal is a mainstream Disney movie. That doesn't mean that in 40 years time people who weren't born at the time will have heard of it.

Get Carter is brilliant.

You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.

Fair play, I'm wrong then. I really thought it was more of a cult classic. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the movie, I just didn't think the average man in the street knew about it.
