Where did you get the TARDIS noise Tim?
I have a 4-port TARDIS USB hub which, when you press a button (the square police notice on the front door) it makes the sound, I simply recorded it on miPhone copied it to the comp and made the necessary adjustments.

Mark

Yeah, 'cos that's so much easier than going to your favourite Web browser and typing in "Tardis sound"

;) :P :etc:

Only kidding Mark, but I can't help but wonder about copyright issues... there shouldn't be any, given that you own the USB port, unless it says something in the user guide along the lines of "Sounds produced by this gadget are copyright whoever"

They wouldn't, would they? ;)

All the TARDIS sounds on the 'net are either truncated or have some other audio accompanying it.
Mine's just the nice clean sound of the TARDIS arriving.

I use Audiko to download my ringtones.

Just type a song name in the search box about a third of the way down the page and select the first result. It will then present you with different clippings from that song and you can download it in the correct format. If your song isn't in its library, you can also upload one and choose a clipping from it.

Peter.

I use iRingtunes X, great little app for the Mac. It loads up your iTunes library in it then it lets you slide the start finish and then you preview and save and it uploads direct to the ringtone folder for syncing.

Not a ringtone as such, but I have Moss' 'Message For Me!' as my email alert.
