I have a ....product (my final year project)....that I need a name for.

What is it?
It's an "educational" software aimed at medical students.
The subject is radiology linked to colorectal cancer (charming I know)

It's looking nice and shiny but I need a catchy brand name to go with it. Since there are so many budding entrepreneur/Apprentice watchers here, I'd like to open the floor to suggestions.

It's been temporarily named iHave-an-iDea.Inc ...mostly because my supervisor is a 100% Apple user, but it's been taken. :(
Other suggestions have included iDeology (idea+radiology) which is rather pretentious, RadiationHazard and iHazRadioactive....

So... radiology/colorectal cancer/IT and education.

no iBowel-you-over or iAccidentally.... plz :P

I personally thought iDeology was a good brand name. I'll try and come up with something else for you and post it here if I manage to.

Depends if it’s an air brick or not, I suppose.

You need a focus group. What do people want from radiology/colorectal cancer/IT and education, and do they want it fitted nasally? What colour should it be?

iRadiCanIt

iCanIT

iCanScanMyArse (sorry, it had to be done)

colorIT

RadioRectals :D

More information would help.

What does the software do? Will it be on sale? Will it be an iPhone app?

At the moment I can't see why you are including the word "idea" in it's title. Is this a note taking app?

Lol, the input is awesome. Keep it coming

The software is sort of a fancy information package about colorectal cancer and radiology. It has a few information pages and a couple of radiology examples (CT, MRI etc) with labels. Just to get students interested in the high tech stuff and how to read these things (we only get a few 2D x-rays in anatomy class).

It didn't start off too serious, and I never thought it could be a marketable product, but I've had a bit of interest from one of the lecturers about using it in uni. Best case scenerio is I can make some money to fund new glass for my camera, if not it's still a cool project. I'm not certain even that I can sell it as I was using a student version of Adobe software bought with money allocated for final year project equipment. :S But if there's profit, I could always buy a commercial version (long shot).

I doubt it can be an iPhone app... the thing is 240mb and I had lots of trouble with the Flash garbage collector and memory. Fully open, the thing takes up half a gig of ram ¬_¬.
The thing "just (about) works". However, feedback from other students have been positive.

First thing's first though, it needs a name ¬_¬ the whole "iDea" thing started as a poke at the iPhone all the doctors seem to favour. I'm just bouncing possible names around.

Perhaps even an acronym...

CRAI - Colorectal Anatomy and Imaging
ARSE - Anatomy and Radiology System Educator :D
AICO - Anatomy and Imaging Custard Operation

...hmmmm

Most of the programs where I work (in hospital) are 2-3 syllables max.

CRIST - colo rectal imaging systems technology
TICS - teaching and imaging colorectal system
GIST - graphical instructional surveillance technology
ColoView
BowelView
iBowel
iCRoC

Some of the systems I've heard of or come across:
MedView, Emis, EPR, eCamis, PACS, EGR, Symphony, Spine etc

Bumscan 3000
ePCV

On a more serious note, how's about Radiotrain. Could be a whole series of apps for Radiology training.

Heh, liking TICS, snappy and easy to say. Neck and neck with Bumscan3000 though!

There's no reason why the name has to have colon in it. It's restricted to this only due to time but plenty of space for future expansion :D

Lmao! Genius.

Been playing about with some of wolf's acronyms:

ARCS - Anatomy and radiology composite/combined?? system
ARTS - Anatomy and radiology teaching system
RATS - Radiology and Anatomy Teaching System/script/software
RAID - Radiology Anatomy Interactive Demostration

I like the Interactive demo bit.
