O.k. Is the phone less than a year old? Is so have you phoned Apple yet? You do have a years free support from Apple on it you know. They were fantastic with my problem. (though in my case it was user stupidity).

It is, yes. I had the phone in May of this year. It's really funny though, because I'm kind of resenting phoning Apple because I have to phone off my mobile. We took out the house phone because it was costing to much, and we both have contract phones... It's too much like hard work going to my mums to call because of whats going on, and I have to go there at certain times of the day. Which is a pain in the ass, but I'm stubborn, and I don't like to feel defeated. But enough of that, moving on... It's like 20p a min for my phone, and I'm not wasting minutes on it. I'd rather speak to someone here before hand and call them as a last resort. I can't belive no one has had this problem before?!

I would say it's time to return it then for a swapout.

Oh, not good. I know some people don't have a landline but at times like this they come in handy. Apple will want you to have the phone and the computer in front of you if you phone them. Do you have a friend with a contract and thousands of minutes to burn up that you could invite round for a slice of pizza?

You can always put the sim card in another phone (or book your appointment online)
