We all know about the Spore incident where EA got raped over their draconian DRM technology.

Well, MW2 was also recently in for a 1-star slating on Amazon whereby a lot of people were criticising the recent announcements made by Infinity Ward regarding online play etc (and how for the PC it's been ruined, L4D style).

However, all reviews have now been wiped, presumably at Infinity Ward's/Activision's request to stop a slump in sales (i.e. like happened to Spore). If so, this is yet another example of consumer power being eroded.

Didn't Amazon have a review approval process before? Maybe they still do but it's lax...

I suppose they could argue that these are 'reviews' for a game that hasn't been released yet, but then they'd have a right old time of it having to go through every one of their listings for such infringements ;)
