One for the parents in the group.

At what age should a child be given a pillow?

My almost 18 month old sleeps on his front with his bum in the air (position wise not a bare bum), he's got a cold so sounds like a coffee machine. Should I give him a pillow to raise his head so he can breathe instead of keep waking up everytime he gets bunged up and wakes up from lack of oxygen (so to speak),like you do when you're snoring?

I will of course get proper medical advice asap (well as soon as my doctor friend replies to my text)

I'd say about 18 months, which is the same time I plan to buy a bed for our son.
I'd get a very thin pillow to start with. Sleeping on your front with a thick pillow can cause neck pain and discomfort (at least it does for me).

When he ends up in our bed he either sleeps on the pillows or facing the other way (top & tails style), he's not old enough to have the sides off his cot yet (he'd fall out).

But then again all babies are different at growing (he only walks when he wants to & never holding your hand, stubourn little git)

I got my boy a very thin pillow at about 18months old. Didnt take him long to get out of the face down, arse up sleeping position. He still snores a little though :)

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I don't know. I do know I have pillows when I'm on the osteopath couch, so maybe there's a reason.

I need a very thin one just to stop my arm digging into my face.
