You may laugh, but never, ever, write “Tardis” where he can see it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very good.
Although I was bit put out when the new doctor had a dig at ginger people. No need quite frankly. Still, looks like there will still be Daleks in the next series so I'm happy.

When did he have a dig a Ginger people!! The phrase "still not Ginger" is not a derogatory phrase as didn't DT when he regenerated wanted be to red haired and this is just verbal link between the two doctors.

Can't say I remember DT's comment. T'was a long time ago. I guess it was the apparent enthusiasm with which he said it. I was obviously in bad mood at the time.

I think that was a little joke at Catherine Tate's expense who keeps maintaining that there should be a ginger Doctor. It could also be as bobdobbs said too. Mark

Yes, it was clearly RTD. But I loved the way the last 20 minutes went. It was the only regeneration where the outgoing Doctor really got to explore the journey he's been on before handing over to the new guy. What he said in the first part about the new guy just sauntering off fascinated me. It's true. The realtionship between the different incarnations is so rarely explored and I really liked that. The last time they did it was with the Moffat special with Peter Davison. I happen to really like him and I thought that was great. The way DT expressed his feelings about the other guy was interesting, refreshing and heartfelt.
Consequently, this gets top marks from me. Also, Smith already looks very, very intriguing. Can't wait....

Watched it now.
I enjoyed it, even the farewell tour. I think it was probably a bit schmaltzy, but in a way it reviewed this Doctor's journey and the people he'd touched, and was probably typical of RTD anyway.
Speaking of whom, was he the chap in the glasses and blue jumper running about panicking with everyone else when Gallifrey loomed large in the sky over London?
I like the way Matt Smith's regenerated character behaved. It was very Tennant-like, with the rush of realising he wasn't dead after all. Like the others have said, we'll have to see how Smith builds his character; he's got some very big plimsolls to fill. And I seem to recall wondering just the same after Eccleston...
