I'm guessing they're either selling MSDN, technet or partner keys.

None of which are legal to sell.

Yep, that was my first thought.

Edit: If you are putting it on a normal PC, you could probably get an OEM version. Not sure on the legalities of that now, in the UK. I know it was frowned upon, but tolerated. Here it is perfectly legal...

Otherwise you are down to searching the usual suspects (Amazon, Scan etc.) for the lowest price for a retail box.

A lot of the listings state they're retail keys.
Def. MSDN or technet keys then.

Is there even such thing as oem for w7 at the moment?
I have an oem xpmce so am happy to go that route if it exists . Otherwise I'll have to fork out for the full boxed version which irks as it'll only be used once a week or so ..

There is OEM windows 7 but it's only a couple of quid cheaper than the retail version (as it's on offer everywhere)

So probably not the best option at the moment then .. given its single install limitation.

Not any more really

The initial introductory offer has ended now, it's now £60ish minimum everywhere as opposed to £50, the family pack should come around soon though if you have other machines to upgrade, I think it was £140 or so for 3 upgrades
