I find that a little unlikely tbh. The British contingent of eurofighters are (obviously) run by the RAF but the British apache longbows are under the control of the army air corps. Plus someone whose a good eurofighter candidate isn't necessarily a good apache candidate. It's unlikely the same recruitment process would be feeding into both and they absolutely wouldn't just pick people more or less at random to pilot multi-million pound combat aircraft. The RAF does fly helis but the apache isn't theirs, which is a bone of great between-service contention. The AAC does share facilities with the RAF though, so that may be where the impression came from.
