Ok Jim, I'll go first.
My wife, (Karen) has had kidney problems. Big problems. Her right kidney had a massive stone which could not be gotten rid of using ultrasound treatment, etc and, (due to other medical issues) the decision was taken to remove the kidney, which happened on Thursday. It's complicated by the fact that she has Lupus, but this isn't really the place for me to discuss that.
There you go... who's next?

I lost my job of 15 years, and my 20 year old cat died.
Jess is buried under the apple tree. I am hoping the cider will be pretty special this year.
I then found another job, which is great, but after a 3 month "holiday" I'm finding it knackering. It's a very suitable job though, and I'm happier than I was.

I got my heart broken big time. Then I changed jobs twice. I took up salsa dancing, then broke my ankle whilst practicing ninjutsu and I'm still going through physio.
That pretty much covers me.
Next......
p.s. John - I had no idea. I hope she improves soon. Please accept my support for what it's worth.

^ Heartfelt support to John.
^ Having recently lost a much loved pet, deep understanding of JJ
Hmm, not much has changed with the Cat. I am being sucked ever further into the cult of Mac. I now run the British Mac forum (called the Pussy Cat Club) and I have recently bought an iPhone (which I have have been blown away by).

Last time we spoke I had just started working at Sun. It's been...erm...interesting...yes, it's been interesting to see how a large company goes about restructuring, making redundancies, and what it looks like when someone buys the company you work for...I only wish I was staying until September to see what happens when Oracle truly take the reins. As a result of working there, I'm less of a Mac fanatic, and rave about OpenSolaris instead I'm still with my girlfriend, after the summer, I'll be moving back up to Aber for my last year of uni where the both of us have a small flat we are sharing with no one!

Me? I'm freelancing as a designer at a small place in Bexley, with a hope of moving to Chatham later this summer. I don't have enough money for all the things I want to do, and I'm getting bored being a designer, but can't afford to live the dream now. Other than that. Same old, same old.
