Been looking for jobs all over the place since being made redundant at Xmas. The last week has been busy and I've now got a third stage interview at booking.com in Amsterdam. The job will be based there too. I fly out a week on Saturday. Got interviews on Monday and fly back Tuesday. Can't wait Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good luck, Holland is a nice country. You'll also only be a few hours away from me!

Good luck indeed.
I did a 3 month placement in Utrecht while I was at university and it is indeed an lovely place. In Amsterdam beware the trams. Also, the bike lanes can have their own traffic lights which may not match up with the ones on the road so take care.

lol, yeah, but he doesn't have to worry about flights or passports, he can just get in the car or get on the train.

Well. I think it went really well today. I had two 1hour long tech interviews and an hr interview. At the end the recruiter showed me round the office and asked me to go in again tomorrow to talk with the manager of the tech department. I don't think they would have done that if the interviews didn't go well. Anyway, Ansterdam is excellent. Fingers crossed for tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds good. I've never had more than 1 round of interviews - either I got the job on the first interview, or I didn't.
In Europe it is also common that they expect you to work a week or two trial (often without pay) to see if you fit in - German unemployment law allows for this, for example. Not sure how the UK handle it.

I think that's mainly what the interviews are for. To see if I fit the team etc...
Given that I'll be moving my whole life to Amsterdam I don't think it would work to be there a couple of weeks and then they decide they don't want me. Lol!
Although, there is probably a probationary period. That's how most UK companies do it.
